About the Si-18 Rannell SDE
The Si-18 Rannell is an early-2000s model brought back from the K-SWISS archive. It started out as a cross-training shoe with details taken from the Si-18 tennis model; later it was picked up by the freerun and parkour scene, and the silhouette has stayed associated with that world ever since.
The fit is held by the brand's D-rings and moulded TPU eyelets, while the monofilament mesh panels let air through. The midsole is EVA, with a cushioning Si-18 TPU element set into its outer side — the detail the model is recognised by.
The SDE index in the name stands for the suede upper; the same model is also made in a base version and in the USA and T versions.
