About the SpeedEx Padel
The SpeedEx Padel sneakers are padel shoes built on a simplified version of the competition SpeedTrac platform. The upper combines synthetic and leather panels where the shoe wears through with breathable mesh where the foot needs air; at the flex point the mesh is bonded with a TPU film that holds the shape without adding weight. The midsole is compression-moulded K-EVA, and underneath is non-marking Aösta 7.0 rubber with a modified herringbone pattern, which the catalogue describes as a balance between sliding and grip. The pair weighs 261 g.
The model is aimed at the beginner — someone who is still working out how padel differs from tennis. The tread pattern here is all-round rather than narrowly specialised, so the shoes work both on a padel court and on hard courts. Non-marking rubber is a requirement for indoor courts: ordinary rubber leaves dark streaks on the floor.
